Christmas is that time of the year when everyone is happy and represent their happiness by giving Christmas gifts to their loved ones. There is no secrecy in the fact that rich people can afford more and expensive gifts whereas the poor ones can not afford that many gifts for their friends and family.
In Australia and all other the world too, there are some people who are orphans and live in an orphanage whereas there are also some elderly people that live in older homes because their children’s can not take care off them. These people do not have the resources to celebrate Christmas like other people though they deserve happiness just as much as any other person.
Therefore, Australian Magazine has brought to you a list of Christmas charity organizations where you can donate this year for celebrating Christmas in Australia.
1. Share the Dignity:
They take charity of all the necessary stuff like toothpaste, shampoos, sanitary items, hairbrush, toothbrush and what other daily necessity item you can think of. What you have to do for this is that pack everything in a handbag and drop at their collection points. A campaign named ‘its in the bag’ will run from the 19th of November to the 28th of November and the collection points would be outside the bunnings stores.
2. Salvation Army:
This is a charity organization that helps families throughout the year not just only on Christmas. You can donate to this charity organization by just buying their Christmas cards. This would be a significant help to them. They also provide the facility that you can donate to them by buying a Christmas toy from them.
3. Kmart Wishing Tree:
Every year salvation army partners up with Kmart Wishing Tree for a great initiative for helping families at Christmas time through out Australia. This initiative runs from the late October till the Christmas Eve and accepts charity Christmas gifts. You can donate by physically going to the Kmart and then buying something from there which can be placed in the gift boxes onsite.
4. The Pyjama Foundation:
This foundation was founded by Bronwyn Sheehan, the former Queensland Australian of the year. This foundation basically focuses on providing education and mentorship to the children who are in foster care. Because to be honest no matter how much you donate to the foster care, the children living in it are still deprived. They do not only need basic necessities to stay alive, but they also need love which they get when families donate great Christmas presents to them. You can also spend time with children on the Christmas day and read educational books with them or play games.
5. Charity Christmas Cards:
This is a unique and charitable way of giving back what you have to the poor people and getting a chance at changing their life. This is an online venture and since people are starting to shift towards e-cards therefore it offers both the facility of e-cards and the physical cards. You can donate in which ever way you want. Different cards are for different charities so you could either buy one card and donate to one charity or buy multiple cards and end up donating to multiple charities at a time. The choice is yours!
And don’t worry all of these charity organizations are authentic so you don’t have to worry about any type of fraud or your money to going to waste.
